An Afternoon Of Family Fishing

There is a small fishing lake close to where we live. It's a great place for quiet contemplation, a place to reflect as a family. Somewhere to be at one with nature, even in the rain we can enjoy a cuppa or two while Papa teaches 'The Teen' to fish.

We didn't catch anything on this particular day, but we didn't care too much, it was just nice to sit and do nothing much else but enjoy each others company.

  1. This is such a lovely post. The flask and the old kettle brought back childhood memories of picnics.

  4. Lovely post and lovely photos. My eldest likes fishing, but he's the only one in the family who does! I can't say I've ever been tempted to go with him. Bad mummy!

  6. I'm quite envious of your lush green trees, we're still waiting for the leaves to come out! Your Brother has just bought a fishing rod so I'm sure our weekends will be similar to this very soon, I'll admit I am looking forward to the tranquility of it all :-) . Gorgeous photos as always xx
