Zeamu Music Review

How many times have you cringed when ever you have heard inappropriate lyrics spilling from a song, as you desperately scramble to cover your child's ears? As a Mum of four and now a Grandmother, I have had to do it a lot over the years. I remember back in 2000 when Eminem's 'Marshall Mathers' album hit the shelves, my boys were aged nine & ten and they begged me for the album and I had to refuse due to the lyrics. I felt sad that they couldn't freely listen to the music of their choice because of the bad language that was included. And my Mum thought Madonna was bad, she had nothing on Eminem!

ZEAMU MUSIC is a new record label that’s been launched specifically for children aged 4 to 11 by a collective made up of some of the music industry’s hottest producers, musicians and composers.

As parents themselves, the founders of Zeamu Music couldn't find any music specifically made for kids. There is music for babies and toddlers and then mainstream pop - but nothing for the little folk in between. Therefore, they decided to create some really great, original pop tunes for kids that they could feel cool listening to, that had lyrics about topics they think and care about and that their parents wouldn't mind listening to! It was also important that the songs be sung by kids, making it even more relevant to children.

Bottom Line - What Do We Think? We love it! To be honest it is really difficult to tell that it's a kids CD, and I found myself happily toe tapping along to it. The songs tackle different issues sensitively such as bullying, friendship, school and holidays and they are all really catchy too. Big Thumbs up from The Syders. Available to buy for £10.99.
