My Favourite Place

This is my favourite place in the whole World. It's a village in North Devon, called Appledore. You may have been there, so you know exactly why it would be my favourite place. You most likely have never heard of it, until now.

We lived here once. Not that long after my Mum passed away, we packed up our home and relocated to the other side of the country. We arrived in Appledore carrying heavy hearts, emotionally exhausted feeling battered and bruised, we tried our hardest to accept that we would never see Mum again.

I believe this place healed me. It changed my life. I walked to this spot everyday, rain or shine and as I walked I felt comforted, I felt refreshed, invigorated. I looked forward to the future as the sea inspired me to change, move forward and enjoy a slower lifestyle. Forever, I will love this place.
