Black Dog Delicatessen

Fresh from the www.foodhq.co.uk , one of the UK’s top specialist food importers, comes an award-winning range of delicious new products that look as good as they taste.

The Black Dog Delicatessen range makes ideal gifts thanks to its stylish packaging. The products offer great ‘store cupboard staples’ for any foodie who fancies rustling up a quick gourmet treat.

The striking contemporary packaging features Bailey and Blue, the two rescue dogs belonging to foodhq’s MD, James Tyler, and who provided the inspiration for the brand. What’s more, proceeds from every product sold will be donated to The Labrador Rescue Trust. Sheila Pratt from the Trust takes up the story:

“We are celebrating our 25th anniversary this year and have also just homed our 10 thousandth rescue dog.  We’re the largest labrador rescue charity, and one of the biggest rescue organisations dedicated to a specific breed, in the United Kingdom. As all our work is done by unpaid volunteers and we’re reliant upon donations, we’re delighted with the support from the Black Dog Delicatessen.”

Hand-picked by Food HQ from some of their finest producers across Italy, Spain and Greece, the Black Dog Delicatessen range includes:
  • Five Pasta Choices
  • Four Risotto Mix Choices
  • Five Olive Choices
  • Balsamic Vinegar (10 year old caged from Modena)
  • Two Olive Oils (Both awarded Great Taste Award)

Foodhq’s MD, James Tyler said “We wanted to create a signature brand that people could trust. Black Dog combines authentic provenance at an affordable price. What’s more, given the fact that the British are such a nation of dog lovers, I’m sure the rescue dog element will prove popular too”.

I must say I totally agree with James. I really like the fact that proceeds are donated to The Labrador Rescue Trust. The quality of the food and packaging makes this food range an ideal gift. Reasonably priced too! I have a list as long as my arm of dog loving Friends who would be totally delighted to receive mini hampers for Christmas from the Black Dog range. Think I better start putting my orders in!
