Center Parcs - Elf School at Elveden Forest

As some of you may already know, Papa and I have spent the past 25 years enjoying holidays at Center Parcs. Our first visit was back in early 1988 and since then we have visited almost every year. Now we take our next generation, our Granddaughter and she loves it just as much as our other kids always have. We always visit during Winter Wonderland because we are completely obsessed with Christmas and we love that Center Parcs really make an effort to get everyone in the mood for the festive season.

Last year as our Christmassy treat we booked a festive horse and carriage ride which was really lovely, but this year we wanted something a bit different, so we booked our Granddaughter into Elf School. Miss E is almost seven so we wasn't sure if maybe, she was a little old for this activity, especially as we were waiting for the Elf School doors to open we noticed that she was probably the eldest there. Still, she looked really excited to get started and as soon as the doors opened, she was off like a shot and barely gave us a second glance.

£25.00 lighter on the purse and four hours later we went to collect our little Elf Syder. We were anxious to hear all about it and were thrilled to see she was dressed up in an Elf outfit, which was a pleasant surprise because we didn't realise she would get one.

Miss E was beaming as she greeted us, clutching tightly a basket of lovely things that she had made and most importantly a certificate that certified, Miss E is now officially a fully trained Elf. "I made some Friends!" she squealed with delight. Her face said it all, Elf school was a huge success.

  2. I LOVE Centerparcs. We've been going for the last 3 or 4 years and always try to get there when they've got their Santa's grotto, reindeers and magical Christmas vibe going on. I'm soooo excited that we've booked to spend Christmas week at Whinfell Forest next year. Can't wait.
Your little elf is adorable. Hope she enjoys helping Santa deliver the gifts this year ;-)

  3. Sounds brilliant. What did she do at elf school? Making wooden toys? Combing Santa's Beard?

    1. Thanks Jen, lol, she didnt get to comb Santas beard but she did make & paint a wooden sleigh, and she made christmas truffles. Considering how frugal I am, I think the £25 was good value. Wish I could have joined in x

  5. Awww, she's so adorable! Our eldest did a dragonfly club there in the spring time like a hundred years ago and he loved every minute. Centre Parcs is such a great place we really miss it now.
