The Gallery - Books

I love books. I always have. To me there is nothing more comforting in a home than a book shelf full of books. Old ones, new ones, clean ones or dusty ones. I don't care. I love them all...

That is why my little corner of the house has books. I can sit in my corner and reach for any book I want. I know where each book sits and if one is missing I notice.
I wish I had more book shelves up and I do have plans for Hubby to put some more up for me, probably after Christmas now.

Do you like books?

  2. Yep, we love them in our house too! I love them so much I retrained as a bookbinder a few years ago. Any excuse to buy old books and make them look pretty again! :D

  3. Great little library you have there, and I'm sure I can see a Stephen King book. My hubby reads loads of them.

  7. I'm so nosy- what are the series of books just above the red lamp? I like the spines:-) I'm guessing famous five/secret sevens?

  8. Hi Katie, they are mainly all Enid Blytons. They are from the 1960's - 70's. They remind me of my childhood x

  12. It does look cosy and inviting (gorgeous crocheted blanket!), and love that you have a collection of Enid Blytons. I'm always looking out for vintage books from my childhood. There are quite a few on my shelves too x

  15. That looks great! I have no room for books where I 'work' they all have to fit in a small space upstairs but once the children have all grown up I fully intend to have book shelves everywhere
