Tots 100 Film Club Review - The Lorax

Dr Seuss's The Lorax has recently hit our big screen in 3D and has proven to be a big hit over the summer. Tots100 Film Club sent me the original TV cartoon (digitally remastered) to watch and review on dvd, I was keen to watch this retro 70's cartoon as I don't remember it first time around.

If you haven't seen The Lorax before, the storyline is a fable that was first published as a book in 1972 telling the story of how corporate greed can threaten and destroy our natural environment. A character called the Once-ler is responsible for cutting down all the tree's in the land, a once thriving, beautiful colourful land that now stands ruined and destroyed for the benefit of The Once-ler's industry. The Lorax stands up for the trees and the environment and he tries to prick away at The Once-ler's conscience in a bid for change. Does he succeed? I'm not giving too much more away, you will have to wait and see....

Did we love it? Yes, we did. A fab way of introducing the kids to caring for our beautiful planet.
