The Gallery - My Weekend

Wow...Wasn't the weekend a scorcher! We spent it enjoying the sun by firstly eating our Lunch in the garden. Any excuse for a barbie but how can you eat inside with weather like this!

Then we decided to go out for a relaxing walk...

We sat beside the river for a couple of hours, the breeze was soothing as we chatted to a local couple who were also trying to cool off. This is a real benefit of coastal living...On hot days you always have the water to cool you down.

Then home for an ice cold drink...Bliss.

From now on my Weekends will be dominated by the retro renovation of Bertha...Yes she now has a name, isn't she adorable. You can read more about Bertha here.

  3. Looks like summer has well and truly arrived over there Mumma Syder. Looks like a gorgeous weekend! And how's that caravan? It's absolutely stunning. How wonderful for you. Someone with your taste and ability to hunt out good finds in the charity stores will have no trouble (and a lot of fun I bet) doing it up. Half your bloody luck! I'm green with envy!!

  4. Lovely, colourful photos as always! Love the heart ice cubes! And apart from Sunday, I cannot say that I was very warm last weekend, music festival was fairly wet and cold! Had great fun, though.

  16. Jealous of Bertha. Even if we didn't manage to get her on the road I know a few people who would sleep in her if they could! Lucky you and a lovely weekend by the looks of your beautiful pictures x

  22. Hi Mama Syder. I know already commented on this blog post earlier but just wanted to reply to your comment you left me re my writing piece on pioneering woman. I too am in awe of your grandmother being blind and working in a florist. That's just unbelievable! I hear that if one of your senses isn't working properly, the others are intensified. I could only imagine how wonderful it would've been for her to smell all those lovely flowers.

Thanks so much for stopping by. (PS Been watching Wimbeldon and you guys have really put on the sunshine this year. Love it!)
