Easter Sunday

The weather here has been beautiful all easter weekend so we decided to make the most of it and have an easter walk to enjoy the fresh air & views
We headed towards the village church

Sat for a while

Read some of the very old grave stones...
Lots of lives have been lost here to the sea

Grab hold of the rope swing

And off you go...

Time for a walk along the Quay...
It is very busy with holiday makers enjoying their Easter break...

And then we get a lovely surprize...
Look what we saw queing for ice cream...

A young man carrying a beautiful bird of prey...

The young man tells us how the Lanner Falcon, named Grub was rescued from a Gypsy last October

"Wow Dad...How cool was that!"

You just never know what you will find whilst out walking...

  1. What a lovely walk! it's fun to see what your surroundings look like. We're to have rain today, so no walking.

as for the cupcakes -- I tinted some flaked coconut green and sprinkled that on top and used some malted eggs to decorate. The original recipe suggested chow mein noodles instead of the coconut -- wasn't sure how that would taste!
